Chapter Twelve

Ivan woke up with Gia’s hand over his face and her leg thrown over her his hip. He was at the very edge of the enormous bed. He removed her hand and looked up in disbelief, wondering how such a tiny girl took up so much space. With a sigh she rolled away from him and he got a nice view of the top curve of her bottom. He laughed when he saw she was spread out like a starfish on the bed. Light came through the edges of the curtains but it was muted, like it was a cloudy day outside.

Moving slowly, he got out of bed and used the bathroom, pausing to quickly brush his teeth. She scurried past him into the bathroom and shut the door. He grinned at the click of the lock and looked around the room.
